Very few see everything that happens in between.

Beyond the Epic followed one of the toughest mountain bike stage races in the world from the inside. Every episode was filmed, edited, and published during the race itself. No script, no hindsight, no polished narrative.

Because that's not how the Cape Epic feels.

There were no guarantees. Nine days of racing that could end in a result, a breakdown, or a surprise and nobody knew which while it was being filmed.

This project documents the reality of elite endurance sport: the exhaustion, the uncertainty, the setbacks, the small victories, the conversations that never make the broadcast, and the moments that define the journey far more than the final standings.
